Brianna K. Johns
Brianna is an Associate Lawyer at Valin Partners LLP. Born and raised in Hillsdale, Ontario, Brianna obtained her Bachelor of Arts at McMaster University in 2012 and obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Western Ontario in 2015. Following which, she moved to North Bay in 2015. She was called to the bar in June of 2016.
Brianna’s areas of practice include civil litigation, personal injury, statutory accident benefits claims, commercial litigation, estates litigation, estates trusts and wills, powers of attorney, insurance and subrogation law, labour and employment law, real estate and property law, administrative law, and corporate and commercial law.
Brianna’s litigation practice focuses on civil and commercial litigation, estates litigation, personal injury and insurance subrogation and defence. She has appeared as counsel in the Small Claims Court, Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Divisional Court.
Outside of her litigation practice, Brianna practices in the areas of labour and employment, providing legal advice on all aspects of human resources issues including workplace investigations, severance and termination obligations and the drafting of employment contracts. She also practices in the firm’s corporate/commercial department including assisting clients with real estate transactions, the drafting of wills and providing advice on estate matters.
In her spare time, Brianna stays active by working out, kickboxing, hiking and kayaking. Additionally, she enjoys travelling and spending time with friends and family.
